I read the Prologue and the half of chapter 1 and I couldn't read any more. Just in the first 20 minutes, it seems to re-assert major old harmful fairy tale tropes, which raised my hackles. Nope. Dnf

Let me just say the E.D. Baker is a man hater and you can’t convince me otherwise. She’s over here making adolescent girls hate these boys because they are pathetic and I wanted to wack everyone in this book besides the freakin bear and Liam.
Anyway, I can see why I liked this book when I was younger but it’s doesn’t have a plot it has 5 side plots. And the ending was stupid.

Side note if the guy I liked ever told me he loved me and then kissed my sister, for any reason, I can guarantee he would never have children. ✌️😚

Just so you know how bored I am of this book right now I’m at the height of the book, the climax, if you will. I stopped reading mid sentence to google some questions about bugs and charcoal Bamboo bags. im so bored. And I think it’s because there’s too many things that happen or because I’ve already read this and I know what’s happened but either way I’m researching laundry!

I’m sorry I’m so bored right now. There are so many micro plots that make no sense and are to be honest quite boring. And then you sprinkle in the abuse and neglect Annie went through and I’m just left wondering why am I reading this.

I never thought this book would make me so angry but here we are 2:11 am and I’m ready to wring his neck

Just so you know Annie’s is like at max 15 and even then it’s like freshly 15. The man child is 22. I say man child because he’s basically throwing a tantrum until he gets exactly what he wants. Also I think he’s Liam’s brother but idk.

This pathetic turd is just having a completions to belittle and abuse women. And they lose the competition if they can’t do what he does. Like you can’t be a dorky turd. Too bad you’re out.

The shock I get going from modern day talk to the formal talk is just too much. It gives me whiplash.

I am either getting sick or my allergies are really bad either way I yearn for the urn.

PSA: Don’t read this book if you have freckles
I looked at the cover and was like Annie’s so cute!she fifteen, she’s got gorgeous blond wavy hair she’s got cute freckle, and a button noses. She’s adorable. Then I started the book and after her parents realize the price for her to be safe for the rest of her life is having freckles there words were “what have we done” and “we made a mistake” 😐

Because I am reading and almost finished with the most heartbreaking and traumatizing book I’ve ever read (faded and tainted(I would protect jade with my whole heart(when I catch Carla she’s dead))) im going back to my elementary school roots. I’m reading a book that is technically for children but I also know that this book won’t ruin me in every way possible. It also won’t make me cry at 2am.

This book is kind of like sleeping beauty with a twist!
