Honestly, this started out as kind of interesting in the camp sort of way, but the novelty's wearing off. Each story is basically the same sort of power fantasy.

This is quite possibly the most insane story yet. I don't think gravity works this way.

You'd really think such grand and omnipotent beings would have better things to do than stop petty crooks. Perhaps that's exactly why the story has those petty crooks numbering in the hundreds of thousands and armed to the teeth, or possessing great and bizarre sorceries.

I feel like this Hanks fellow is enacting a particularly insane power-fantasy.
