Status Updates From Vertical City

I'm finding a few misspellings. One 'error' I circled was the word, on page 206, of "skilful." I'd noted that the book was written using the "English" not "American" dictionary. This being the author is a Caucasian from that sad, sad South African nation. So skillful with one "L" after the "I" IS the English spelling. Oops. Edgar is getting help from an elite in government, but I'm suspicious.

It's reading as good as any big publisher science fiction book. Not seeing any misspelling or other errors. The book is as good as any I've read. We'll see how it ends. It's heading for at least 4 stars.

A fun book. Easy to read and comprehend. Our protagonist, Edgar, is a hero in that, with a fellow worker, he stopped a massive runaway machine that could've brought down several floors of Vertical City, killing thousands. He also discovered a secret so dangerous to know the person who told him was assassinated.

An interesting concept. After an atomic war all of the Earth's survivors live, packed, literally like sardines in towers that extend far both into the air and into the earth. All the inhabitants are assigned lifetime jobs.

Reading this again, more slowly this time, as I read it so fast and drank it down the first time. Just want to enjoy and digest the second time round!
