alright these are maybe growing on me...

well. unfortunately "connection" hits close to home! —signed, a one-time neurotic teenage girl who desperately imprinted on not one but TWO people whom i currently have no contact with

i appreciate some of these stories and even liked "a romantic weekend" and "something nice" but i think mary gaitskill is too much of a cynic for me. still i persist because holding a book is about all i can stand to do in my current state

hmmmmm......

i feel stupid reading short stories. i get to the end and almost without fail i'm like, "okay, and?" but i'm hoping to change that with more exposure i guess?
