This book is giving me When Everything Changed flashbacks. IDK if it’s a positive thing to know that that there were some American women in the Rockies/Pacific Northwest were dealing with the same back breaking work as Orleanna and Mama Tataba during this period because they were homesteading on properties close to mineral extraction and agriculture and literally didn’t have electricity/appliances either
