Bruh I don’t think Victorian (tho this one is before) literature by female authors can ever be for me why are these authors so intent on torturing their female heroines 😵‍💫 also, going through a death in the family right now and it makes me extra sad for Emily. Although we have the same crazy bitch of an aunt in our family -_-

I was walking towards the supermarket in my neighbourhood and the weather was giving end of summer/ beginning of autumn, I was stepping on crunchy crisp leaves, and I passed by my gothic stone neighbourhood cathedral and thought ''I'd love to listen to a gothic atmosphere being described right now'' and that's how I started listening to and reading this novel. The gothic atmosphere is so rich so far so good!
