Status Updates From The Lions of Al-Rassan

Rereading because something has clicked and GGK has been hitting for me lately

I had forgotten how much I LOVE Miranda Belmonte. From her first introduction she's all over the page like 🔥! It's been so long since I first read this book that I do not remember her arc or what happens to her, but I remember enough of GGK's sadistic authorial tendencies not to hope overmuch for her HEA with Rodrigo.

I squee'd so loud when I cleared the wait-list for this book that I scared my cat. 😸 I first read it a long time ago and am enjoying this re-read at least as much this time. There is quite a bit of storyteller's craft embellishing this written tale --- and I'm really liking how I'm already anticipating returning to the story.
