Probably a book better read throughout. I find the book's stubborn focus on Empire to actually be quite illuminating. Having just read chapter 3, I appreciate how something like the "console wars", trite with popular narratisations and historiography, can still be discovered anew through close revelation thru D&G

Concepts of "immaterial labour" and "cognitive capitalism" are incredibly illuminating in studying postindustrial societies. The job does a decent job trying to prove these through archival examples (Electronic Arts and Video Game History), but the book's theoretical link to Hardt and Negri's Empire seems tenuous atp. Otherwise a pretty engaging read so far :)
