The famous stage direction “exit, pursued by a bear” truly came out of nowhere.
That said, I find the use of Antigonus interesting. The name, I assume, is a masculine version of Antigone. Sophocles’ Antigone famously defied an unjust order from her uncle, while Antigonus acquiesces to an unjust order from Leontes. Feel like I need to do some more reading on this.
