Interesting read. The Victorian language is gorgeous and the way the story telling style of the Penny Dreadful is deliciously vintage. Yes it's slow and so outdated that it is at times other worldly. But that is it's charm.
Listening to a Librivox recording of this book. Each chapter a different reader. This somehow adds to the ambience.
Nice pallet cleanser between more serious books. No rush.
