Status Updates From Ether: Seven Stories and a ...

I finished all the short stories and hope that the novella will be better.

I finished "Sunday Child" and it is the first story I would say I liked.
It is about a woman who finds a homeless woman in her garden and sends her away.
"She looks like me. She looks like you. [...] We're all one step away from being her."

I finished "The Bachelor's Table" and "The Clearance". While I was now expecting an open beginning and end I still didn't really like either of the stories. There was nothing really wrong but they don't grab my attention.

I just finished "Happy Love" and I am a little confused. What is happening here? I haven't read short stories in forever and forgot that they start and end pretty much in the middle of a bigger story.

Found this book on a stoop in Williamsburg. It's boring but since I've been carrying it around, I'll give it a gander. What I have noticed already after reading "Happy Love", the first short of this collection - is that even w her witty and descriptive passages, much is left to the reads imagination. Felt like reading a play from an amateur

Not feeling very motivated to pick this up again. Will have to start the novella from the beginning.

Loved the short stories, but finding the novella a bit difficult to get into.
