this book has referenced ancient greek history more than it's mentioned horseshoe crabs. i had to google a vietnam reference too but i guess it's my fault i didn't know that bc i didn't pay attention in US history II, the writing is more enjoyable than i thought it would be.
Idk who checks this app's feed, but i'm going to update my progress pretty consistently if anyone is curious about my opinions on this book!!

“Unfortunately, what makes for good politics does not always make for good medicine” (Flugate; pg. 50)
“Flugate” is a really interesting chapter describing Gerald Ford’s failed national vaccination campaign against swine flu as being the catalyst for the FDA’s investment into lysate testing.

The Chapter on Flugate was so interesting to read. Especially in context of the current COVID issue! So thankful we have LAL testing for our vaccines!
