I’m relating to a lot of this a little too much when it comes to the dads. Having a non blood related dad step up when my birth dad lived around the corner. Losing the step dad, tho not by death in my case. But it may as well have been the way I cut my emotional ties. And waiting, sometimes for hours, for my birth dad to show up, if he did at all. Anyway. This is so well written and compelling so far.
