It is a very nice read - at the frontier between non-fiction and a sort of narrated / novela genre. The main problem is that one expects to read about Edda, or through women’s eyes, but it is again through the viewpoint of me, mainly her husband and Mussolini… But the author has done a great job in researching how she can bring women’s stories and the he contradictions of retelling war stories.
