The last page is just a sad ending to the story and I don’t know if it was appropriate to divulge just how much pain Freeman was in at the end of his life that he had to crawl around on the floor because he couldn’t walk. Plus the diabetes. What a weird book that could’ve been so much more.

Great little chapter by Thom Powell and I wish there were more like it in this book of people who knew Freeman and could recount and attest to his research.

Dad’s chapter finally gave some good notes on what happened on the Scenic Loop investigation. If only the book has more pages detailing a particular encounter or investigation rather than a few paragraphs w/o substance.

So Doug Hajicek’s chapter ends with the enhanced Deduct Springs video, but there’s a “second Bigfoot footage” video too on of 168, yet on of 151, Freeman writes that was his dad’s last sighting was Deduct. What?

Cliff’s chapter finally brought good writing to the book and actually provided science to support the evidence. Johnathan Sumerlin’s chapter suffers the same as Michael Freeman’s in its lack of editing. It’s best to think of this as a DIY family photo album that happens to have some prominent researchers sparsely featured.

I wish more was expanded on in the 1991 Mill Creek Rd tracks. I also really hate to nitpick so much, but the endless starts of sentences with “And..” and “So…” is really killing me. There are also a few recordings where it’s clear the tapes aren’t digitized and may be recorded with a mic because they’re extended and you can hear background noise and someone stopping the recording of the recording.

The photos definitely make up for the writing and editing. It’s a great glimpse into a personal collection.

If you’ve heard the author on any podcasts, there isn’t much new material aside from pictures and the QR codes which have quickly become overwhelming with upwards of 5 on a single page (26). There are way too many commas and a lot of typos so far. I’m trying to enjoy the content but the author’s chapters could’ve used with better editing and scattered out QRs instead of clumping so many together.

The writing style is more conversational and the editing is taking some getting used to. Not sure if Freeman knows Croce didn’t write “I Got a Name,” but he also misquotes the lyric on pg 7. Someone should’ve caught that.
