Det är mycket lättre att läsa Shakespeare på svenska.

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time,
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more - it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.”

“but there’s no bottom, none,
In my voluptuousness: your wives, your daughters,
Your matrons and your maids could not fill up
The cistern of my lust, and my desire
All continent impediments would o’erbear
That did oppose my will.”
What is his problem genuinely 😭

“That which you are, my thoughts cannot transpose.

Someone tell me Shakespeare isn’t funny

“Oh, by whom?”
Because that’s a completely appropriate response to finding out your father was murdered

The wine of life is drawn, and the mere lees
Is left this vault to brag of.”
He’s so fake I’m crying

have to read this for school but i’ve been reading ahead because it’s such a fun read tbh

“I have no spur

And falls on th’ other-“
