I see why they call this a novel a masterpiece of plot. Every paragraph moves the action forward!

Very historically detailed but the author acts like a kind of narrator? Sometimes breaking the fourth wall to give us really robust historical context. So even tho I know like nothing abt this period I can still follow! Also looking up so many words including: profligate, perfidious, exchequer , orisons and more.
