Confused by all the reviews saying the vocabulary was insane… feels very normal for this genre

OK, not what I was expecting and it’s kind of making my head hurt but it’s not bad

I think it’s interesting. Our narrator doesn’t have a voice. It creates distance with the story because she seems distant from it as well and I think it really works. It’s one of those books that needs to be read multiple times to understand everything there’s so much to dissect.

Oh my I am loving this so much. The writing is beautiful and haunting, and it feels like a really dark fairytale done right. I notoriously dislike novellas. I don’t connect with them and I usually think they fall flat. There’s only been one novella I’ve actively loved and I think this might become my second one.
