This book focuses a lot on Turkey, Iran, and Afghanistan and I’ve learned a lot about how the USSR interacted with these countries and the Arab World, but I thought the book would be focusing on artists from artists from post-Soviet countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. There’s some really cool art here still but i am a bit disappointed so far :-/
