Status Updates From Nord i sud

Enjoyable so far, but I think this will be a challenging read. The author seems to favor very long and complex sentences…and some times her grammar is not quite right. (Sometimes a sentence is missing a verb, or a comma, or sometimes you finally find the verb after several joined phrases only to find you have forgotten the subject.)

No deixo de llegir per no deixar sola a la Margaret amb tota aquesta penya (la seva família) tan poc considerada amb ella.

Insane.. Insane!!! Oh Ch.24, I shan't be forgetting you any time soon! I could see Margaret's hesitation & refusal coming from a mile away, but that didn't make it any less awkward or painful to read when Gaskell SO painstakingly writes just how moved Mr. Thornton is when we know he's worked hard to become reserved & indifferent in public. Gahhhh!!!
