Audiobook S1ut is starting

I'm only doing this because my friends gave it such high reviews, and it's free on audible right now, and I'm trying not to buy anymore books this month. The first book was not great. but a necessary stepping stone--everyone says you can just jump in like these are standalones, but those people are liars. These are not standalones by any means, I can't imagine picking this up w/o reading book 1 and 1.5.

Whoops, I read another monster fucker book! Dare I say I’m surprisingly invested in the world building? We might have to commit to the trilogy. I’m more invested than I want to admit in the “worst person in this book is the protagonist of the next one” thing they’ve got going. It’s weird. I like it.
