I do believe that belief in the Christian God can powerfully inspire someone in science, as a way to explore this gift of a universe God gave us. But I am not sure that the scientific method and mindset were a unique product of Christian culture.

I'm finding this extremely thoughtful. I wish I had the brains to dig into it more often. I shall never be finished.

I don't know where this book wandered off to. Stupid physical lose-able book.

End of the first chapter. So far, this is in line with the doctrines I believe. However it is quite dense. My progress is glacial.

Reading it again, for the first time.

The author is going to great lengths not to use gendered pronouns for God in this book, using exclusively God and Godself. It is both a thought-provokingly progressive and distracting.

The discussion of the "numinous" and YHWH dovetails nicely with the insight I had while reading Le Guin's Lavinia.

Got given this book by a family member. I figure I should at least give it a fair shake.
