not the easiest to follow at times, but the story is really starting to get interesting and the world building makes more sense at this point

I don’t know if the authors of The Giver (a book I read in high school) and 1984 (another book I read in high school) read this and used it for inspiration but the similarities are there. Although in this text the elements of a dystopian one state world feel very primitive compared to what we have these days in contemporary dystopian film and novels, and that’s something I’m personally enjoying.
