I thought for some reason that this book was only about Crazy Horse and the battle he fought for the Black Hills, but actually it's a history of the US from the perspective of the indigenous people. Especially the battles, so I was partially correct. I am indeed leaning about the Black Hills and Sioux nations. Writing is a tad dry. 4/5

So far, this book has been a struggle. Lots of names/people, Indian and white, to try to keep track of. There is a lot of drawn out story, so to speak. Not enough analysis or discussion to keep me engaged.
I entered this book having a pretty good idea of how unfairly the Government and whites treated the Indians. I hope the book will educate me further and the author will at some point interject more discussion.
