I didn’t get much farther, but who cares, I finished the story of Kalevala, which is a myth that just goes everywhere. One minute this guy is a god who created everything and then the next he’s a mortal and is looking around an ocean for some lady who can turn into a ginormous eagle. Don’t get me wrong it was a good story (from what I could understand) but really it just kind of went everywhere

My favorite of the Norse myths is what I read, Thor and his blood uncle(I Norse mythology that’s basically just uncle) decide they want to go kill giants, they get to jotunheim (translation: land of the giants) and meet a king the king challenges them to a series of contests involving speed, strength, eating, and best of all chugging. Turns out all were tricks played by the giant called Utgard-Loki

I have read through the Greek/Roman myths all the predictable ones like Perseus, Heracles, etc. and of course those are good ones, but when you get to medieval Europe, it gets interesting, the story Beowulf has been my favorite so far cause it’s actually a good story but very bloody, especially when you get to the first battle (1/3) you should probably read the story yourself cause I’m running out of type space
