Honestly?

I'm quite impressed by how much I'm liking this unplanned sequel to the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Really one of the hardest fantasy books to follow up, but Baum is doing it well here.

Some brand new interesting characters, the worldbuilding expanding at the perfect pace, and man, the plotting is genuinely page-turning.
