Status Updates From Ryland's Sacrifice (Thrown ...

Second time I'm reading it. Sort of couldn't remember it.
Lots of frustration with them both because communicating wasn't there. World building wasn't there. In the end it was just a insta love story really.

Sorry but I can't read this with a straight face XDD

Lol. Not one of Dare's better stories, this one left me rolling my eyes and not committed to any character. Simply too insta-love and The leader-lion-man was obnoxiously perfect. 1.5.

Oh. No way. No WAAAY. Tutoring the bad guy's lover? Give me a break!

This is definitely a case of "conflict is based entirely upon the fact that the man cannot of communicate a basic sentence." In this case: "I was broke and in dire need so as to not be thrown out of school--but it all changed when I met you."

Erm. So. He originally went to Arslan only because he needed money. Making him a whore. Now, he doesn't want Arslan to think he's a whore, so he wants to pay back the money he made. OF COURSE, this means he needs to go to a third party to get money, thereby whoring himself out again. TSTL? Or just desperate and irrational?

"He was effectively doing business with the kind of men who thought guys who put dead horses’ heads in other people’s beds were role models." What the ever loving hell does that mean?! LOLZ.

Arslan definitely seems like an archetype, nothing interesting or unique about him, a mere cardboard cutout "master." Ryland is a bit more sympathetic; I can see his individuality a bit more than Arslan's. Still, their "relationship" is dull.

I find myself skim reading, even skipping, the sex scenes; it's just so porn-y and unbelievable as far as why these two would care about each other specifically. Meeeeh.

Not impressed so far... it's all just so sudden; i lied the opening tension, but I don't believe in Ryland's sudden comfort level or the professor's desire for Ryland specifically. But I DO love the image of grown men acting like cats together: "they were all swagger and bravado... whenever they weren’t casually stroking each other or butting their heads against each other’s bodies."

So far I'm enjoying this. A few niggles: When in Arslons pov instead of using his name using" the professor" . The fact that it doesn't say why Ryland can't get money anyway but two (seemingly degrading) ways at the beginning.

Getting real bored with the main characters. Also feel tat there's just too much repetition in the writing. Frustrates me. Not helping tat I don't feel much chemistry between the leads too. *yawn*

I must stop book hopping. Such a bad habit of mine. Now I am in such a dilemma trying to catch up and getting all confused.
