I read this my first semester here at Wheaton. That semester, my first year seminar, history of philosophy, and philosophy of art final papers were all heavily inspired by it. Probably the single most impactful book for my relationship with the Lord (outside of the Bible). Seems like a good note to end college on too.

“Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.”
Very rich and poetic read so far 😮💨

Gosh, I love the Lord. I love my Father. What a gift it is to run to Him in every season & find rest in His covenant
