This has now been designated as my poop book. Robin Olds has a massive ego and tends to look down on others who haven’t been to combat. He admits to feelings of superiority and treats other service members with disrespect and disregard. He has no concept of the rules because he believes his flying ability makes him above them.
I’m not joking when I say there is a line, “did anyone pat me on the back?” 🤢

I’m probably jaded but a white dude who seemingly is well liked in the military and therefore was able to bend the rules is more of an eye roll than inspiring. However, I’ll keep reading simply because it is on my bookshelf and my goals this year is to read more physical books and knock down my TBR list.
