Status Updates From Thrice Upon a Time

another chapter down tonight. the concept of time here is unlike anything I have read or watched before. very cool.

Finished CH 1. Mostly picked up this book due to interest and inspiration drawn from this book from the lead writer of Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0. So far, so good!

It's dragging and the threat is not as thrilling as it should be. Everybody's just so clinical about accidentally fucking up the world with time travelling death particles.

I feel like it's not really going in the direction Steins;Gate did.

They sorta all talk the same way. Maybe I wouldn't have been able to wrap my head around the time travel logic this easily if I hadn't seen Steins;Gate, but whatever, it's still kind of fun.

Damn, Steins;Gate really took from this, huh.

I like the near-future (for the time) speculative fiction. The details about the science and organizations are nice too. A lot of it being based on the real world has that Science Adventure Series feel that I have been wanting from sci-fi stories like these.

I heard that this might have been the inspiration for Steins;Gate. It seems to check out.
