Status Updates From The Phantom of the Opera

i am going to wring raoul's neck

🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

Halfway through and Christine recounts her days with Erik/Phantom of his first approach then to her unmasking him that drove him mad with shame. Raoul obviously thinks she’s insane to even still keep in contact with Erik while he wants to marry her and whisk her away, naturally.

I enjoy the Phantom but my god the strings he pulls to have Christine for himself by manipulating Mama Valerius into thinking he’s an angel and not letting Christine marry otherwise he’ll leave her. To playing the violin on her father’s grave…

Less than 100 pages in Phantom causes Carlotta to sound like a toad on stage then he makes the chandelier collapse that kills the woman who was supposed to replace Mme. Giry….200kg on the head of a concierge quite a lovely headline

I forgot it changes pov’s often because Phantom fucks around with so many people plus the author is conveying the story through other peoples view of the events that occur, so it’s messy to say the least

So much stuff happens so quickly including the death of Joseph Buquet, Christine being the lead, and Raoul hearing Christine talking to the Phantom less than 50 pages in lol
