Marshall's opinion and letters to the press concerning McCullough and Dartmouth cases are illuminating in terms of current judicial controversies, at least to those interested in judicial illumination.

One can only imagine how angry this man would be if he could read the recent King case and see Marbury abused in such a dishonest manner. He specifically states that laws are not subject to the whims of the executive officers to change.
