I am genuinely loving the character development and growth, and the fact that Brad is willing to apologize and admit he’s made mistakes. It’s so refreshing.

I think I unironically love this book, or at least like it a whole lot. This is insane.

It’s so weird how we’ve seen this kind of thing so many times before, but it feels genuine in this book. It doesn’t feel like a paint by numbers thing.

This book is so very 2010 and I kind of love it. Very nostalgic, very goofy.

I don’t know why this part is making me laugh so hard, but it is. This is such an insane book.

Why is there a priceless guitar in a parking garage, just hanging on the wall? Who knows.

Everything is a brand name. It’s hilarious.

Sapphire hating Madison is justified, and this is coming from someone who usually hates stuff like this. But nope, Madison sucks and getting pushed off the pier serves her right.

And we’re back to the laugh-out-loud, so-bad-it’s-good stuff. This is great.

All the references to Amy Winehouse are very nostalgic. Crazy how this was published a year before she died.

What’s funny is that there’s plenty about this book that I’m enjoying unironically. I really like Maggie, even though she’s a cliche. I like Brad and how he’s really trying with Sapphire. It’s not mindblowing or anything, but I like it.

I haven’t had this much fun reading a book ironically since by Cara Reinard. This is great.

This book is genuinely hilarious.

I think this must be how people feel when they watch Love Island. This is absolute trash, but it’s also a lot of fun. I’m embarrassed that I’m reading it, and I can’t believe it’s real, but it’s also fun.

I think I may have stumbled onto a junk food kind of book. Which I’m okay with. This isn’t exactly great literature and I don’t think it’s trying to be. A little embarrassing, but whatever. I’ll take junk food over actual trash any day.

Honestly can’t tell if some of these descriptions are supposed to be goofy and self-aware, or if they’re being played completely seriously. Once again, I must thank r/whatsthatbook for telling me about a book I literally never would have heard of otherwise.
