Status Updates From Wood and Stone

I'm taking my sweet time with this one...making myself at home. It's a very interesting read, and so Powys, very deep in detail and thoughts, lots of characters with character (amusing name choices/spellings), drama, entanglements, humorous, and politically timely in an odd little way that makes me say "Huh." from time to time.

I just started reading it last night, I have a copy from 1915 (in mighty fine shape) that my Fred gave to me as a gift, and it feels so right to read this one now.

This book is amazing. I don't understand why it's viewed so poorly. Powys nature descriptions are outstanding and his psychological insight profound.
