a weirdly funny narrative about very technical historical details that point to a blind spot in the way we see knowledge. i love this book. this first chapter ends in the importance of the popularization of the cheap usefully informative illustrated book... it holds no punches and sheds light on the Dark Ages... i mean... wow.
