Status Updates From Fear and Loathing in Las Ve...

Every time I start reading this book it feels like jumping on a train moving at 300 km/h

Marathon second reading complete in one evening. Can now compare book and film with some authority (dubious...). Surprisingly, liked film even more and the book just a hair less than before. Book still better of course, but almost every page of the book is in the film for most of the way until the latter quarter. Anyway ... later ...

tried reading this to my gf while sh fell asleep and she asked me to read her something a bit happier

Second reading to prep for a Letterboxd review of the film. Have to do both, side by side in running order over several hours, in order to do it right. Because we're not lazy bastards around here.

I'm going to re-read this so I can compare it to the film, which I also have already seen several time, as I want to write a review of that on Letterboxd. Goodreads makes it impossible to shelve and re-read the same book again. They screwed up the site. I had to learn this from some rando on the site, since the "help" on here is useless.
