Shoulda been home by now but reality in real personal life intruded… trips to NYC with wife to watch her ill mom. Then there’s all this Trump drama.
In short: so far this has been a long, lovingly drawn out 3 prong/3 genre novel. I can’t believe this is James’ 1st published novel.
Accomplished author. But the suspense is seriously killing me.

Sorry- made little progress on this compelling thriller today.
It’s because of the revelations re: Trump the Traitor.
I’ve been glued alternately CNN and MSNBC.
Just think: our 45th President was a deep cover agent for anti-America foreign nations.
Only once in a lifetime does a fix fit like this.
Kiss my ass MAGATS!

Look: I’m not about to blow the top off of this novel.
Lead character is a police detective. His partner is a smart, bi-racial sidekick. The case involves a kidnapping and subsequent seemingly random murders.
It’s so well written it’ll take your breath away. I mean… this is tightly wound.
Having a great time with this: likeable leads, complicated villain.
Whattaya want?

Been running through this thriller like a maniacal fool. My wife put the dinner on hold while she stretches canvas on stretcher bars so she has the material for future paintings.
The main character is a police detective & his partner. They’re after a maniac on a revenge trip.
Narrative is reminiscent of Jack Webb’s “Joe Friday” from OTR Dragnet -less dry but tough.
I’m loving this cop-thriller!
