Status Updates From Teach Yourself Speed Reading

Sometimes (but only sometimes) it's the books that take you the longest to read that are the most beneficial. This book falls into that category.

I really should make some effort to remember this stuff. But then again, the heart wants to do what the heart wants to do.

The methods in this book work. Some of them I was using already but others are new and useful to me. I have a resistance to using some methods because they run contrary to why I read.

I've read it all in at least three different ways without going beyond page one of proper reading. I feel like I know everything the book is going to say. Where's the mystery! Where's the surprise!
