It’s meh to me bc of the drama, the random woman who’s gay for some reason. The violence that seems to go nowhere. The constant back and forth between characters. The fact that there’s four more books. It sounds exhausting to read any more of this. It started off okay but it just fell apart near the end

I’ve found proof after proof thy sex never needs to be heavily implied for romances to be good. Obviously. Noah and pipers relationship was part swoons, part will they won’t they, part enemies to lovers and so on. The kisses are sweet. I’m not exhausted by heavy emotional talk on touching and consent. This books is dragged down by it. I’ve only noticed the extent of it.

For being closed door it’s feeling very open unfortunately. There’s a lot of body talk and “is it okay if I touch you”. Especially compared my last book that had the perfect balance of swoons kisses and emotional drama. Plus no need for all the talk of potential sex. It doesn’t say it but it’s heavily implied. Little disappointed when that happens. It takes away a lot.

I just get too much anticipation and anxiety from book that have the couple all perfect together which usually means that the next 2 books they will be separated. Also it getting heavy in the love triangle area even tho she’s already picked her man after a month but the other guy is still there and relentless. I gonna power thru. Wish me good luck

Started this late yesterday and read until 1:30am and now here I am. I was invested until they got together. There are 4 books after this one which makes me think there’s a big rollercoaster coming up. I’ll probably bail bc I’ve kinda lost momentum. It’s never interesting when the characters are fully together. Especially if they’ve done the deed. Not in detail but it’s obvious. I miss Shari’s books.
