Status Updates From From This Moment On

Enjoyable. Truly great writing, but why did it take like two hours to get through one love scene? Was half the book a sex scene or was it that I kept falling asleep? Pretty sure this is a 5-stary book but why am I not looking forward to more marathon reading? Anyways its 4.5 stars even though book is just a teaser of things to come -- not even at half-way of story, which is a bit unsatisfying.

Absolutely brilliant so far. The five women introduced so far are such fascinating characters, I love them all. The pace of the story, dialogue and narration are in a cadence that's working really well for me. 😊

Escapism in books has escaped me lately haha. Dangit, gonna keep reading until a book hit its mark though. Book not on my shortlist but was looking specifically for "fantasy genre" this go around. Reminds me of the Inthya books -- which I loved. Okie doke time to move that goose egg and start reading.

And here I thought the fantasy bar was set with 'When Women were Warriors'... The world building, the political intrigue... Yummy stuff.
