Status Updates From Kydd (Kydd Sea Adventures, #1)

Updating my historic current reading list as I haven't been on in a good while.

I found this book interesting as a concept, but it never really lived up to expectations. I was looking for something character driven, with a good introduction to naval life and the promise of a grand story to play out.

But character work was thin, explanations lacking, and not enough story to entice me for the next book.

Decent so far, taking a little bit long to read because I keep needing to look up ship terminology but overall I’m liking it so far.
