Am I tripping, or did this exact scene already happen in the last book? Zoey clearly needs to start checking Heath’s pockets when they meet up because I’m sick of reading the same thing over and over again.

I really can’t remember how I felt about the Loren thing when I read these as a tween. Unfortunately, I was probably into it. As an adult, he skeeves me out so bad, I just want to hit him with my car. To quote Demi: GET A JOB. STAY AWAY FROM HER.

Some of the language Loren uses makes me think the Casts are aware of what grooming is, but I still wish the whole plot line had been excluded. What is it with YA novels and romanticizing age-gap relationships? It’s almost as common as weird incest plot lines…
