Status Updates From Mary and O'Neil

The story has opened with Arthur 56 and Miriam 54, parents O’Neill and Kay. Arthur finds himself lost in ennui and attracted to a widowed doctor. It is an attraction that neither acts on beyond some semi-business meetings, but powerful. Meanwhile, Miriam struggles with O’Neill having a college love and a consistently strained relationship with her recently married daughter Kay.
