Knowing the names of the Hebrew Alphabet and the Hebrew numbering system would be helpful in reading this book. It also does not define certain Hebrew words, expecting you to know them. This is how a Jewish book on a religious subject often works. You are expected to have a certain level of competence. Otherwise, you shouldn't be reading this stuff.

I'm loving this book on Jewish mysticism.
