Status Updates From Pearls of Lutra (Redwall, #9)

Finally got to the end of book 1 with the pipsqueak.

I'm not minding the story so far. At least, I am finding it more enjoyable than when I first read this book. I wouldn't say it's my favourite or the strongest story in the series but it's better than it's rating suggests.

I still don't like that there are two Martin warriormice though.

Babe is done and so now can give way to this book for bedtime. So progress on this one should move more quickly now. Though at 406 pages, we still have quite a ways to go.

I have to say however, I never liked the fact there are two Martin the Warriors in this story, one the Abbey spirit and the other being Mattimeo's son.

This will probably take awhile, as I am (somewhat) alternating between this book and Babe for storytime with the pipsqueak at this moment. But Babe will be done in time for me to dedicate reading time solely to this book in time.

I will say... I remember very very little about the events of this book. Only that Martin II is Abbey warrior and Grath the otter is a hero. That's it.
