Status Updates From Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry

Reading aloud with 11-year old. Quickly becoming one of the best books we’ve read all school year.

Genre: So far, I would say my book's genre is like historical fiction, or historical realistic fiction. I think this because it's kind of what people had to go through and act like back then during the end of slavery and stuff, when others were facing racial discrimination such as the ones in my book. It's fiction, but it is possible that it might have happened in real life, so it's realistic fiction.
