I wish the Interlude sections (written in the voice of Claude as an old man) were longer.

Camille is pregnant—terrible timing. She wants the baby but he’s not so sure. An all-too-common dilemma, no matter the time or place.

Such a beautiful story. I now have the gift of understanding the man behind the paintings. Monet's work was already so inspired, groundbreaking, exceedingly lovely. For me, it will be even more deeply beautiful now that I have the story of his life. The book is very well written with lovely prose. The author includes an historical background at the end as well as a link to current life at the Giverny property.
