“Those fighting the dictatorship in the Sierra and the Llano were able to maintain opinions on tactics that were at times diametrically opposed, without this leading to abandoning the insurrectional struggle… In the face of external pressure & attempts to divide it, we always presented a common front.” (ie they kept Americans OUT their business lmao)

the deeper into this we get the funnier che lets himself be

“The revolution has been built on the sincere efforts of many ordinary people. Our mission is to develop what is good and noble in each persons to convert every person into a revolutionary, from the Davids who did not understand very well, to the Banderases, who died without seeing the dawn.”

“The physical conditions of the struggle were very hard, but the spiritual conditions even more so, and we lived with the feeling that we were constantly under siege.”

As foolish as it sounds this book is incredible workout fuel hahahaha

Modern combat is childsplay compared to the hell known as guirilla warefare, which che and castro faught in and became masters of. As che says "this was our baptism by fire"
