I high-five the first book in this series, please do read it, but this one I did not like. Nothing offensive or badly written, but just not my style. Too much sex.

I'll give it one more chapter to build the relationship, but after reading some reviews about all the PWP sex, I'm losing faith.

Always a dud start to a book when it's full on sex: there's just no build up, no tension: sex scene reads flat and technical. Despite the attempt at writhing emotions, I just can't connect. But the story has enough promise of interesting conflict that I'm willing to skim past the first two chapters (two dead in the water sex scenes!) and pretend the book starts from chapter three.

Reading this because it's on my "let's read books with hideous covers" list. So far this has been terrible and it's unlikely I'll finish tbh.

I want a Wulfgar of my own!

Gaeric is so jealous and doesn't even realize it. he needs to stop being so mean to Kintaro. i think Moira will help realize this though. Kintaro is her buddy =D

i didn't realize til now how affected Wulfgar is to Roman and Aron leaving him and choosing each other. i mean, Roman was stolen and enslaved and Aron was an indentured servant. i mean, what did he expect? now he has trust issues from them running away. he needs to get beyond that and Kintaro is just too happy to oblige him =D

when did Brandr get so smart. it's nice to see more of his character. i can't believe he's schooling Wulfgar. he has some good points too. i guess since Wulfgar is the leader he doesn't think like a slave at all or even consider their point of view. sucks for him. and then both him and Kintaro are prideful. whew!

my fav part thus far is when Kintaro refused to wear the new clothes Wulfar had made for him and came to breakfast nude. Wulfgar wanted to punish him but found out the real reason was legitimate and endearing so he let it slide. Wulfgar is finally coming to reason and it seems falling in love ;D

Wulfgar has finally met his match in a bed companion. i'm close to saying Kintaro loves sex more than Wulfgar. who'da thought. plus Wulfgar even desires to be around Kintaro more than he has any other bed mate. totally different for him.

the author started out showing the reader Wulfgar's hesitation to emotion. i saw it in the first book but now that this book is about him it's more prominent. i'm going to love seeing his wall fall as the book progresses ;)

wow! this one is starting out with a bang (pun intended)! Wulfgar is definitely getting what he wished for. i mean Kintaro is like a contortionist and has been thoroughly trained ;D highly enjoying this one =D

The last 4 books I've read have been by far Sutherland so I figured I'd read this one and continue the trend.

I can't believe I finished this book for two reasons: because I thought it would never end, and because I actually kept reading it, even if that reading involved a tremendous amount of skimming, skipping ahead, and completely bypassing any and all sex scenes. There is no excuse for me having finished this book. I need a support group for people who can't stop reading bad books.

I like it so far - an interesting exploration of the relationship between a willing "bedslave" and a pleasantly surprised master.
