Have finished Wideacre WOW! A very brave first book from both content and creating such a hateful female central character. Imagine a psychologist would find the incest theme and the explicit scenes very interesting. As with her later works Gregory chose to explore major historical concepts from a less traditional viewpoint: the feminine perspective of landowning and the landowners’ perspective of enclosure

I just can't. I like Philippa Gregory's other novels but I can't handle a strong character falling in love with their brother....moving to DNF...
